DRI Boundary Area

The Heart of White Plains, the target investment area for the Downtown Revitalization Initiative, comprises the City’s traditional urban core. The 0.4 square mile area is home to numerous multi-family developments, the soon to be redeveloped Galleria and City Center Shopping Malls, a thriving restaurant row and hospitality center and the busiest Metro North train station in the lower Hudson Valley. The DRI Boundary Area is bounded to the east by North Broadway and Bronx River Parkway to the west – two major arteries linking New York City to the Mid-Hudson and connecting the “tri-states” of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

The DRI program aims to have a DRI boundary area that is concentrated, walkable, and may range from a corridor to a few blocks. In addition, this area defines the eligible project areas for DRI funding.
